Pixi-Spring 2018

Last month I went to an event at Fenwicks in Tunbridge Wells where we got a masterclass from the amazing Amanda Bell, where we were all shown the new spring collection full of beautiful skin care and makeup. I brought myself a couple of their makeup products including the MultiBalm and Liquid Fairy Lights.

A little background on Pixi as a company is that is was launched 10 years ago by Petra Strand who has been a makeup artist for more than 20 years. Pixi focuses on multi tasking and bringing out natural beauty.

MultiBalm

The first product I tried was the MultiBalm which definitely goes along with what the company goes for as  it is a beautiful stick which works for many things. Today I used it as a basic eyeshadow, blush and lip colour. I created a gorgeous monochrome look which would worked as a basic no makeup, makeup day. The stick blended well on the eyes and is very moisturising on the lips, however on the cheeks it can be quite difficult to blend, I used my Zoeva 104 buffing brush which blended the product well into my skin. The brush worked better than my fingers which made it look a little streaky. This balm wore well on the cheeks and eyes all day, and the lips it wore very nicely but did start to  wear off when I had a drink and ate.

Liquid Fairy Lights

The second product I tested was the Liquid Fairy Lights which I have in PassionLight which is a gorgeous copper-ry colour with red, gold and silver. This product looks stunning when its swatched and the glitters do not feel chunky at all. I used this just on top of the Multi-Balm as a topper and it was beautiful. I applied it with my finger and it went on very easy and looks stunning. Although after about 4-6 hours I notice it start to fall out but this is very common when working with a liquid glitter.

Over all I really enjoyed these products and look forward to trying more products from Pixi, especially some of their skincare.
